Lady Gaga ft Beyonce- Telephone premiered today,
If you haven’t seen it yet, get your fill here.
Nice little take on Thelma & Louise.
And of course.. the fashionnnnn. Sigh.
Needless to say, this little get up is my fav.
but seriously, it’s all drool worthy.
Forget all “he said, she said” about Lady Gaga..
this video is effin’ rad.
The Rehab dropout, Amy Winehouse, has jumped on yet another celebrity bandwagon, colab clothing lines.
Set to launch October (maybe because of her scary relation to Halloween), the “I don’t give a f%@k” singer
will launch her collaboration with Fred Perry.
Even scarier, its booked for not one, not two, but FOUR seasons.
Of course, she was “very involved” with the designing,
like every celeb is with their make-shift clothing lines.
We just hope she was less involved than Lindsay was with her disastrous Ungaro colab.
QUOTED: In a palette of mostly black and pink, the 17-piece collection includes a girlish twinset;
slim, thigh-skimming pencil skirts; capri pants, a mini bowling dress,
and Fred Perry’s signature polo shirts (“collars are most definitely raised,” the press release effused).
All jokes aside, I love this broad.
Although, I would have been more excited if the collection
were modeled with busted photos of her giving us the bird
and shredded, faux blood and coke stain printed pieces.
I’ve been so busy here at LAV that I haven’t had time to post about one of my favourite runway shows from Paris Fashion Week. Oh Karl, you really do create whatever you dream, don’t you?!
This year’s Fall 2010 collection shown last week was based on the issue of global warming, a topic that the designer feels fashion should address. So he sent down the models in beautiful fake fur outfits with the backdrop of this stunning iceberg.
So maybe you’re thinking “Fake fur + Chanel = really?” I’m a little surprised (yet sooo happy to see Lagerfeld starting this animal friendly trend) but he gave two reasons. One: He doesn’t want to compete with Fendi who makes the best real first. Two: “Technical advances are so perfect you can hardly tell fake fur from the real thing. Fake is not chic — we have got a new Chanel tweed to stop copies — but fake fur is.”
Also- yes that’s real ice. Lagerfeld sent models down an iceberg-style runway wearing yeti boots…some of which got left behind in the melting ice and slush (see last pic). The 265 ton glacier was made by the famous Ice Hotel in Sweden and was hidden from the audience before mechanically rising from below the stage.
But let’s face it, the majority of us can’t actually afford a Chanel (albeit fake) fur coat. So take a look at what LAV has to offer…both fake and real but ALL vintage!
By far better than any neoprene bag or briefcase-like carryon your father uses. It’s a book? Even better, it’s a laptop inside a book! Nifty design by Twelve South for your precious computer, check them out here!
So you probably saw Monday morning the best/worst dressed lists of the 2010 Oscars.
As interesting to us is what the stars changed into for the famous Vanity Fair Oscar After Party. Behold! Some of the best (and worst, can you pick them out) dressed ladystarz of the night..
So maaaybe you were thinkin’ the animal print trend was so 2009, but looks like it’s here to stay this year! Below are a few celebs including Sienna Miller and Erin Wasson wearing different prints. Lions and tigers and bears oh my!
Find lots of fun animals prints at LAV, including some of our favs below!
Having a bad hair day? No problem.
One of our favorite hair trends for spring is the low key braid.
Just as the messy bun did for us a few years ago,
the messy braid is solving “Shit! I woke up late!”
and humid “Dude, my hair.. ” dilemmas all through spring and summer.
